About Me

My name is Clair, I’m a hippie millennial with a sensitive heart and a vast interest in numerous hobbies. Interior decorating, bug collecting, horse riding, butterfly raising, gardening, thrifting, hiking (aka taking leisurely walks in the woods) to name a few - are things I may be up to on a given day. My work history includes several things, but I think the only thing worth mentioning is my time in veterinary medicine which I like to think helps explain my husband (Josh) and I’s quantity of pets. Three dogs & three cats. If you’re new here, our pets are my pride & joy and I talk about them often. So, if you’re an animal, vintage, and home interiors loving person, we’ll probably get along swell! And if that is you, well, it’s nice to meet you, you seem lovely! I began my interior decorating business in 2018 with a different name. In 2021, Jem & Jay Interiors was lovingly renamed after my grandparents, Pearl (jem) and Jay. They were successful entrepreneurs whose footsteps I would love to follow. Over the course of the past 5 years I have had the pleasure of working in my clients homes and helping them evolve their spaces into places they are proud to claim as theirs and settle into. As time has passed, I’ve found that my passion for curating home interiors is something I prefer to keep close and more intimate and have stepped away from one-on-one client work.

I may take on a client project here and there, primarily though, I will be focusing on my personal home projects, my hobbies, and my super cool job at The Found Cottage doing retail design, visual merchandising, and unique installations.
